#36 The Least Boring Weekend Newsletter
Good Morning readers!🌞
Hope you had a wonderful week this far!🥳
Jeff Bezos is killing it on the internet, first with the reel audio, and now with this meme. It's impossible not to come up with our take on this meme. 🤷♀️
Woohoo! I'm sure you've all been waiting for our third ebook right? It's here.🥳
#3 EBOOK - D2CxCOP26
We're sure everyone reading this is aware of the COP26 summit that took place earlier this month.
But what happened at the Summit?
The goal of this Summit was to encourage countries to improve their climate plans to avoid the worst consequences of changes in the climate.
Around 120 world leaders gathered in Glasgow to begin COP26, and determine if mankind can take the urgent measures needed to avoid catastrophic climate change.
The idea confirms climate experts' and campaigners' concerns that there is a significant gap between current national promises and the types of cuts required to keep the world from collapsing into a full-fledged climate crisis.
When we talk about D2C, How is it that D2C Brands can help reverse climate change?
How often have you opened a package, even if it was for a small item, and wondered what was inside such a large box?
Everything is frequently shipped in standard boxes, with the extra space filled with additional packaging material. Shipping items in fewer boxes reduce unnecessary packaging and waste while saving space on the truck, making it more eco-friendly.
This is just one of the ways D2C Brands can help reverse the change. To know more about this

D2C x CRYPTO
NFT AND CRYPTO WALLETS CAN BE IN DISCORD’S FUTURE.
Discord is already the de facto home for NFT communities, but the company could be planning to deepen those connections in a big way.
Discord's interest in incorporating crypto features into the social chat app may be speculative, but if Ethereum support is built-in, the company's plans could extend far beyond payments. Discord recently polled its users on their thoughts on NFTs.
This year, Discord became a natural home for thousands of NFT projects. Many of these projects use dedicated Discord servers to communicate with followers, send updates, and track sales and market movement.
Discord is a text and voice chat app where your avatar is the primary expression of your identity — something that NFTs are all about right now.
BUT WAIT THAT’S NOT IT!
Discord founder and CEO Jason Citron attempted to reassure its users that the company has no plans to shift its business to NFTs.
Users on Discord who are wary of the crypto space quickly encouraged one another to cancel their Nitro subscriptions, Discord's paid premium service that helps the platform remain ad-free.
Outraged Discord users pointed to a recent poll from the company asking for their thoughts on Web3 and NFTs as the backlash grew.
While no company enjoys negative feedback, the negative reaction to Discord's nascent crypto interests demonstrates how much the company's users enjoy its current iteration.
Just a bit curious, but did you bemoan Discord’s nascent crypto plans as scams? (Don’t worry, we won’t know🤐)
NOT SURE IF EMAIL MARKETING STILL WORKS? HERE’S WHY YOU SHOULDN’T MISS OUT ON IT YET!
You, like every other business owner, have objectives to achieve. If you use the correct channels, digital marketing can help you achieve your business objectives. So, why email, you might wonder?
Regardless of your company's position, there is one channel that has been proven to succeed if you focus on it. We're talking about Email Marketing, of course!
Email isn't a new phenomenon, we all know that. It's been around for a long time and is still a popular way for businesses to communicate and provide personal customer service. It still is one of the most cost-effective ways to communicate a message to your customers with a high ROI.
Here are a few Email Marketing techniques for your D2C Business.
👉 Deliver Quality, Quantity can wait.
Focus on your message and keep your design simple while using email marketing.
The key to a successful emailer design is to make it entertaining and valuable. To narrow down the notion of 'provide value,' focus on providing high-quality information rather than quantity. Readers will return more often if the design is more interesting and personalized.
👉 Make sure your email messages are mobile-friendly.
The future of everything is mobile. The desktop computer era is approaching its end.
Do you know? Mobile devices currently account for 54% of all email opens while only 19% of all email openings are made on a desktop computer. If your email messages are not optimized for mobile, people will delete them. That reduces your chances of converting subscribers into customers.
👉 Reactivate dormant subscribers.
Existing consumers are frequently less expensive to target than new ones (story of every company). It is very natural for some of your subscribers to ignore your communications. To begin, you must first identify your own "inactivity."
A timeline of three to six months is ideal. It's time to start engaging inactive subscribers after you've defined your "inactivity" time frame.
How do you go about doing that?
Identify Your Dormant Subscribers. Every business is different and the definition of dormant subscribers is different as well.
Start a Rewards Program. If there’s one thing that will jumpstart your reactivation campaign, it’s a rewards program. Reward programs are a well-known and well-received way to retain subscribers.
Make a promise to them ahead of time, and make sure you offer free presents as a thank you for taking the polls or surveys. Conversions will rise as a result of this.
👉Divide your subscribers into groups.
You can improve your open and click rates by segmenting your email lists.
You might want to know, What makes email segmentation so effective?
If you have 1,000 people on your email list, the majority of them will have diverse requirements and interests. You need to figure out what your customers are looking for and categorize them in order to provide maximized effectiveness.
👉 Occasionally send out exclusive content.
Exclusivity is a powerful marketing tactic that many brands have been using for years. Apple uses it. That is one of the reasons it’s the most valuable company in the world despite the fact that it only has a tiny market share in the smartphone industry.
With exclusivity, you can get more email subscribers and generate more sales. It can also be creating a product that is only open to your email list.
Email marketing has improved and continues to produce promising outcomes. But what you have to remember is that “Your email marketing plan, like the software on your phone, needs to be updated on a regular basis”. You have to put new elements to the test because “Trends change quickly” and what worked a year ago may no longer be effective today. Allow yourself to be put to the ultimate test and once you've figured out what works, you can automate it with triggered emails, right?
